Director of the Galician MetOffice (MeteoGalicia, Xunta de Galicia) 1999-2015.
He graduated in Physics in 1988 and got the PhD in Physics in 1992, both at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He has published more than 100 papers in referred journals (SCI) and a hundred of presentations in conferences. He has been team leader of several national and international funded grants. In this moment, he is involved in projects related to nonlinear physics and geophysical fluid dynamics including meteorological and oceanographical modelling.
