I am Parga Pondal research fellow (Autonomous government of Galicia, Spain), running the structural bioinformatics and drug design area in the Public Galician Foundation of Genomic Medicine (FPGMX). I am specialized and interested on the following techniques in computational biomedical research:

• Homology Modeling
• Molecular Dynamics
• Molecular Docking
• Binding Free Energy predictions
• Virtual Screening

The research topics that we currently cover my group include

1. Structural biology and drug design for different G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). See our web page on this project
2. Comprehensive studies of Aspartate Proteases and inhibitor design.
3. The implementation of free energy calculations in Virtual Screening protocols.

We are open to collaborate with other groups, mainly providing exciting experimental data to work with in the computer in order to design, explain, suport and assist "wet" lab biomedical research.
