MatHex (English)

MathHex is the prototype of a game designed for mobile devices and computers.

Players must skillfully combine strategy and mathematical knowledge to create a path from side to side of a board of hexagons, while answering questions, and while they try to obstruct the path of their opponent.

This board is based on the Hex game where two players take turns selecting boxes of a honeycomb of hexagons.

Players have to answer questions related to mathematics, introducing a fun factor that can disrupt the tactical skills of a player while favoring those with better mathematical knowledge.

One of its strengths is the type of questions; they combine in a fun and colloquial way different topics: geometry, calculations with numbers, history, art, common sense,... and a percentage of questions on female mathematicians.

This initial version is designed for iPad and will be subsequently developed for other platforms. There will be different game modes for one or two players and with multiple difficulty levels.
